There’s a lot of research that is REALLY needed in order to make sensible decisions about such things as brightening the clouds or spewing sulfur into the atmosphere or sprinkling iron filings into the ocean. The trouble is, the organizations making decisions about funding such research do not collaborate and decide who should fund what kind of work. There needs to be more cooperation to decide what has to be discovery with what degree of urgency. the IPCC ought to be making such recommendations. I hope that someone brings the subject up this fall in Glasgow.
We produce several one-hour-long Zoom conversations each week about various aspects of six issues we address. You can watch them live and send a question to the speakers or watch the edited version later here or on our Youtube channel.
