Metta Spencer is professor emeritus of sociology, University of Toronto. At the Mississauga campus she coordinated the sociology department and the peace and conflict studies program. She founded and still edits Peace Magazine. For five years, as president of Science for Peace, she hosted weekly lectures and conferences on global dangers. Then she created Project Save the World, where she has hosted nearly 600 hour-long discussion forums, accessible at https://tosavetheworld.ca and YouTube. She has authored four books, one of which is a text that was published in ten editions and distributed world-wide; edited five books, and published hundreds of articles and transcripts, many in Peace Magazine.
