Dale Dewar says:
It is a treat to hear such an informed person speak on nuclear power – he was a regulator! In the highest position of the NRC in the United States and he says 1) nuclear power is declining in the world 2) SMNRs are not new – just recycled old technology, 3) accident-free nuclear power is not possible, 4) waste needs to be monitored – we have no technology that can keep it safe for the length of time required to keep humanity safe and 5) we have to stop making nuclear waste.
We produce several one-hour-long Zoom conversations each week about various aspects of six issues we address. You can watch them live and send a question to the speakers or watch the edited version later here or on our Youtube channel.
